Canada legal STEN?

Yeah, supposed to be! Word is, STENs are back, have been approved as Restricted class, and are registered!

Trick is, you have to buy an unfinished semi auto only reciever and an old parts kit.

But it's certainly doable.

This sounds like a job for Joel!

For those of ya who ain't familiar with it, the STEN was an economical British designed 9mm submachine gun from the Second World War. Made largely of sheet metal stampings, they were effective and very cheap and fast to produce.

Not the best lookin SMG ever, but they work.

Poo see nein mill? lol You've changed, man.

So now that it's a semi, you still need a six round magasine for it.

I guess those come with the legal kit, the old kit?

Isn't it strange that this shows up at the time where Charest is about to save us from guns?

BTW, Charest isn't forcing anyone to store their guns at shooting ranges anymore. But he's not done yet.

So you won't have to rent a truck, buddy. Right on. :-p

LOL yeah, its the pussy 9mm. You gotta think though, it's a different beast from a pistol. Ain't heard many stories of Germans surviving a 4-6 round squirt from a Sten. Or for that matter, many of us surviving a burst from a German MP-40 SMG. Much easier to hit with, spits 10 shots per second, and it's faster by virtue of the longer barrel than a pistol.

I'd still pack .45 every chance I got but 9mm is just so damn common. Who knows why.

And yep, 5 round magazine would be mandatory, so 6 with one in the chamber.

And yeah...I was dreading packing up my firearms and moving them into central storage.

That's why I just wasn't gonna do it :P

wow. I saw couple of Sten's (in black). I don't know if they are reliable or not but I like the sound they make when you press the trigger ;)

You're gonna have to MAKE your mag well if you wish to build and register a civilian SAS-3 in Mk2 version. The CFC and RCMP still prohibit using the original mag well as they say it is the receiver and "Once a F/A always a F/A". Which of course we now is complete garbage but hey, will they ever listen to us anyway?
